photo-1.PNG  California homegrown artist Candice has a sultry tone packed with a powerful punch. The feisty songstress lacks a filter and proves her talents are as raw as her lyrics.  New feminism fueled songs such as, “Greatest Song I Ever Felt,” are a representation of the audaciousness of modern-day women. Her EP’s leading song “Smokers Room” has a sexy sound that portrays an edgy concept of quality time. Candice’s musical ruggedness serves as relatable female empowerment.

For as long as she can remember, music has been the center of her universe; she recalls singing in her church choir since the tender age of five. “My dad is my greatest musical influence, I remember him playing the piano as I harmonized and ad-libbed over the notes,” said Candice. Her father being the pastor of her church elevated Candice’s melodious gifts.

Everyday Candice raced from school to a local music studio. Consistently studying inspirations, such as, Kim Burell, Tank and Lauryn Hill, Candice wrote songs and perfected her craft.  Her time invested soon paid off, as Candice inked her publishing deal through Warner Music Group’s President of Worldwide A&R, Mike Caren. Artist Publishing Group is Caron’s imprint, which has solidified a dozen of number one songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Candice serves as a songwriter for APG. Establishing herself as a phenomenal songwriter was merely the beginning.

Her background vocal credits include prominent names, such as, David Guetta, B.O.B. and Flo Rida.  While in a studio session with R&B sensation Pleasure P, Candice met Mister, the Chair of Compound University.  “Mister heard me sing and there was instant chemistry; he believed in me. I soon signed a deal with him” said Candice.  Compound University is under musical icon NE-YO’s managing label Compound Entertainment. Candice began touring beside Eric Benet introducing her dynamic talent to admirers.  Correspondingly, while opening the Malibu RED tour for NE-YO her stage presence grew alongside her fan base.

Subsequently, Candice’s debut “Smokers Room” the EP and video chronicle streamed over 326,000 online hits.  Proving her urban chic appeal and alter ego “Candi Kush” are worth attentiveness. She is currently in the studio working on new material.  Passion surpasses all obstacles and Candice’s undisputable substance will not be easily overlooked.
